Leave a legacy of safety and hope

A gift in your will to Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services is a simple way to support adults and children affected by domestic abuse — now and in the future.

A legacy gift (also called a bequest) is a donation you choose to leave to a charity in your will. It costs nothing during your lifetime and can be changed at any time.

What is a legacy gift?

Your legacy could help:

  • Someone find safety at a moment of crisis

  • A child access counselling and emotional support

  • Survivors in rural communities receive specialist help

  • NDAS plan vital services for the future

Why NDAS?

You can choose to leave:

  • A percentage of your estate

  • A fixed amount of money

  • A specific item such as property or shares

Every gift, whatever the size, makes a difference. You don’t have to tell us if you’re intending to leave us a gift in your will, although it can be helpful for us to know so that we can plan for the future.

What kind of gift can I leave?

  1. Speak to a solicitor or will-writing service

  2. Include NDAS using the wording below

  3. Let us know, if you wish, so we can thank you

Suggested wording:
“I give [amount or percentage] to Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services (Charity Number: 1122969) of Unit 3, Waterhouse, Burn Lane, Hexham, Northumberland, NE46 3HN, for its general charitable purposes.”
