This post has a primary focus on working with children and young people and delivering individual interventions to those who have experienced domestic abuse.
Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services (NDAS) recognises that children and young people with experience of domestic abuse will have particular emotional needs in relation to their experience. The post holder will work closely with the delivery team to deliver a children’s and young people’s therapy service across Northumberland.
The successful applicant will be a qualified and registered practitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy or with United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy, and evidenced post-qualifying supervised practice, or a qualified Social Worker, ideally specialising in work with children and young people, a teacher or SENCO.
