Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services supports adults and children who are living in terrifying and unpredictable circumstances. Over the past six months the charity has been fighting to keep the doors open, and has called on our communities for support. The response has been overwhelming. The general public and professionals from health, education, youth, private and charity sectors have spoken out, taken action, made urgent pleas to our local government and have shown unending support.
It has been a difficult few months but following generous donations from our local community and the confirmation that we have been successful in securing some funding, we are able to confirm that NDAS will remain open.
Our team and trustees will continue to work tirelessly to secure long-term funding, and our practitioners will continue to support adults and children affected by abuse in Northumberland.
We want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all the campaigners and supporters who have reached out to show support; you have taken action, written to your MPs, shared our posts, raised awareness of our cause and pledged funds to keep our vital services open. We can't thank you enough!
If you have are experiencing abuse or have been affected and would like to speak to someone, call our team between 9am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday on 01434 608030 and our practitioners will be on hand to chat to you. Our practitioners offer confidential, non-judgemental, practical and emotional support.
