NDAS charity abseilers!

March 26, 2018

This year we are so excited by the huge range of people taking part in the Hexham Abbey Charity Abseil to raise funds for NDAS! We have an overwhelming number of young people involved this year which is just fantastic, and we look forward to what will be a lively and fun-packed event!

Five young people and one staff member from Engage in Blyth are taking part, as well as five young people from youth organisation 'Off the Grid', and another group from Bad Apples Dance Academy!

They will be taking part alongside Darren Tait, a gymnast who has worked with Cirque du Soleil, as a stunt man and you may recognise him from Super Bowl adverts (where he is seen balancing on a can!) Darren will also be delivering a dance workshop with the young people at Bad Apples Dance Academy on Friday before the abseil - phew what a day!!

The day will be a joint fundraiser, as it was last year, with Hexham Abbey fundraisers abseiling in the morning and NDAS abseilers making their descent in the afternoon.

Check our press release here for more info, and look out for more news as we approach the 16th June!
