NDAS at The LOVIE Awards!

November 17, 2017

Our CEO Georgia, and Children and Young People's Worker Maggie took to the stage at The Lovie Awards this week to accept The People's Choice award for short film Control.

What a night, and what an experience it has been from the beginning. NDAS and Raw London joined forces to create a short film about emotional abuse - a powerful and emotive piece of music and performance that aims to raise awareness about coercive control. Since then, the film has been shared far and wide and has won so many awards over the last few months alone.

We just can't thank Raw London enough for giving us this opportunity by choosing to work with us for their pro bono film competition. Charlotte and Ryan, and the whole team have been just fantastic and we are so honoured to have been able to create this great work with you! Thank you!

Watch Georgia's wonderful acceptance speech in this short clip, and see her and Maggie accepting The People's Choice award, and bringing it proudly home to Northumberland!
