Control, the powerful film created collaboratively by NDAS and Raw Productions, a London based media production company, is going from strength to strength.
The short film looks at coercive and controlling relationships, and uses music, dance and emotive images to focus on young people's relationships and experiences of domestic violence.
Abuse doesn't have to be physical, but there is little discussion about the emotional and psychological types of abuse, and coercive and controlling behaviours have only recently been recognised as forms of abuse. This film hopes to explore these issues within teen relationships and aims to bring these topics into the public sphere for discussion.
The more recognition this film receives, the wider it's reach, and the more impact it can have.
Control is a finalist in the 2017 Lovie Awards., which is an incredible as these awards receive 1,500 entries from 33 countries across Europe! As a finalist we are in the top 20%, and now, the people decide! The Peoples Love Awards are open to the public, winners are chosen and voted for by the public, so we need YOU to get us to the top.
Making it this far is a brilliant achievement for the teams at NDAS and RAW and we are so excited to be gaining more exposure for NDAS and the issues raised, so that we can get those discussions happening, and continue to raise awareness among people of all ages and from across different sectors.
So that's where we need your help! We need as many people as possible to vote before Thursday 5 October 11:59 BST. You can find the link to place your vote here, and please feel free to share it on your social media, send it to friends and shout about it from the rooftops!
Huge thanks for your continued support!
