NCS youth volunteers raise funds for NDAS

September 1, 2017

We would like to say a huge thank you to the team of young people who organised a family fundraiser as part of their National Citizen Service activities, and to the fantastic hosts Anne and Steve at Herding Hill Farm in Haltwhistle.

On 30th August, Herding Hill Farm campsite was transformed into a family fun day, with cake stalls, football penalty shoot out and sports day, barbecue, quizzes and prizes and even an alpaca walk.

Our fabulous hosts, Anne and Steve! Have a look at their website to find out more about this little gem of a campsite located near Hadrians wall, and in the middle of such stunning countryside. (BBQ a definite highlight!)

Volunteers got involved in penalty shoot outs and sports activities, and the sun stayed out to let us play!

Georgia joined the NCS team at their cake stall, raising money one cupcake at a time!

The group raised £440 for NDAS, a fantastic contribution and the result of brilliant planning, team work and exciting activity planning - amazing work Team K!
