Funding Cuts
Whilst NDAS support any gender, not just women, these figures from Womens Resource Centre are shocking! Supporting local charities is vital for them to be able to continue their invaluable support. 31% of women’s sector charities have incomes of under £100k, with more than half stating an income of less than £10k... And yet 46% of women’s organisations still stated that their income had reduced during the previous financial year.
These cuts to vital services have to stop.

Gaslighting, what is it?
This is an article written by an American Domestic Abuse Charity so the telephone numbers aren't relevant, but it is a well written article and worth a read. https://www.thehotline.org/2019/11/22/a-deeper-look-into-gaslighting/?fbclid=IwAR3ap2VaE62udktKASGRAWwzu5iTcg6_knk_60AxHir7WK7-MU3r_83oZjY

Tea & Consent
It's Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week. But it is also a great opportunity to share the 'Consent: It's As Simple As Tea' video. In this short animation from Thames Valley Police, they use the analogy of making and serving tea as a metaphor for consent. It's not new but it gets the message across nicely.(REF: PCC Facebook post 5/2/20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZwvrxVavnQ
