Originally from Ponteland, Northumberland, Louise studied Law at King's College, London and worked as a Lawyer for 14 years before turning to writing. Her debut, Holy Island, was released in January 2015 and reached number 1 in the Amazon UK and Australian charts. Since then, she has released a further eleven novels, all of which have been top three global best sellers and a further nine no.1 UK bestsellers. To find out more visit Louise's website here.

Walking the wall for NDAS!

Two well known local Barrasford lasses, Jo Woodford and Colette Eames, along with Jo's school friend Evita Taylor, from Cape Town, walked the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall last week raising funds for Northumberland Domestic Abuse Service. Diane Schofield from Cumbria also did the 3 days, however had to leave early as her child was taken ill. They raised a fantastic £649 for Hexham based Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services - heartfelt thanks go to all the donors who contributed so generously. “We walked 85 miles in six days, enjoying British countryside in bright sunshine - we got blisters, sunburn, aching muscles, laughed a lot and shared a healthy, memorable achievement,” said Jo.
